This extended session introduces the theory of scheduling and the use of the scheduling tools in the Epicor application. The objective is to provide a foundation using the application to achieve realistic production schedules and load estimates that can be used to help control the shop floor and aid in delivery promises. The Scheduling course focuses on creating job schedules, computing resource loads, and communicating this information to stakeholders.
OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this session, you will be able
Describe scheduling configuration and the tools available.
Manage What-If Schedules using the Overload Informer, Resource/Resource Group and Job Scheduling Boards.
Understand how these Key Factors affect scheduling:
Move and Queue Time.
Operation Specific factors - Finish to Finish, Start to Start and Finish to Start.
Use Advanced Scheduling features of:
Material and Non-Time Constraints
